Labeled Data

Labeled data is information that has been tagged with the correct answer so an AI system can learn from it. For example, a photo labeled "dog" teaches an AI that the animal in the picture is a dog. These labels help the AI understand what different types of input mean so it can make accurate predictions later.

Labeled data is essential for a type of AI training called supervised learning. Without labels, the AI would have no way to know what is right or wrong during its learning process. It is like giving a student an answer key to study from while learning a new subject.
