Data Labeling

Data labeling is the process of tagging pieces of data with the correct answers so that an AI system can learn from them. For example, if you're teaching an AI to recognize animals in photos, you need to label each picture with what it contains, like "dog," "cat," or "bird." These labels help the AI understand what it's looking at and learn to make its own predictions in the future.

Without labeled data, AI would be like a student trying to study with a textbook full of blank pages. It's an essential step in training many types of machine learning models. People often do the labeling manually, but there are also tools and services that help automate or speed up the process.
