Computer Vision
Computer vision is a field of AI that teaches computers how to “see” and understand images and videos. Just like our brains interpret what our eyes see, a dog, a stop sign, a smiling face, computer vision helps machines do the same. It powers things like facial recognition, self-driving cars, and even smartphone features that sort your photos.
To get good at this, computers are trained on huge collections of images so they can recognize patterns and features. For example, by analyzing thousands of pictures of cats, an AI can learn what makes a cat a cat, then spot one in a new photo it has never seen before. Computer vision is one of the most exciting areas in AI because it brings visual understanding to machines.
