Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is the broad idea of machines or software doing things that usually require human intelligence. This includes understanding language, recognizing pictures or faces, solving problems, and even holding conversations. AI doesn’t have emotions or consciousness like humans, but it can mimic how we think in very specific ways.

Today, AI is all around us, it's in your smartphone’s voice assistant, the recommendations on Netflix, and even spam filters in your email. AI gets better by learning from data, so the more information it processes, the smarter it becomes at its task. It's like giving a student more and more homework, they get better with practice.
