Agentic AI

Agentic AI refers to AI systems that act more like independent "agents", they can make decisions, set goals, and carry out tasks with a certain level of autonomy, often without needing constant human input. Think of it like a very advanced virtual assistant that not only follows instructions but also understands the bigger picture, plans steps on its own, and adapts to new information.

For example, an agentic AI could be given a goal like "book a business trip" and figure out the flights, hotels, and transportation all by itself based on your preferences. These systems are designed to be more proactive and goal-driven, not just reactive. They’re a big step forward from simple tools or bots, because they can take initiative, make decisions in complex environments, and even coordinate with other systems.
